Tell us about the love you share
Renee and I met on the online dating site Zoosk. Both of us were VERY apprehensive about online dating, but after much encouragement from friends, we said what the heck :) For our first date we met halfway at the Solomon Pond Mall and had dinner and drinks at TGIFriday's. We were both very nervous but excited at the same time. It went very well and dates two and three followed soon thereafter!
The Proposal
Renee proposed to me on May 26, 2018 after teaching and practicing with all three kids how to kneel on one knee. Our proposal site was at Hampton Pond under a beautiful oak tree!.
What do you love most about your partner?
Meredith:
There is too much to list what I love about Renee! :) What I love most is how genuine she is, kind, loving, an amazing mom, and always makes me feel so special and like I am her number one!
Renée:
I love her optimism, even when the chips are down! I love how supportive she is, how accepting she is of me and my quirkiness! I LOVE how much she loves my children and refers to them as ours! I love how she loves my family like her own and my friends like she's known them for years! I love how much she loves to be with me, even when I'm cranky and I love how much she shows me how much she loves me!!
Tell us a little about yourselves.
Meredith:
Is a teacher and loves the outdoors as well, especially camping, being with friends and family, visiting breweries, and being with my new family of 5!
Fun Fact: used to run all the time, and have run a half marathon!
Renée:
Is a firefighter/paramedic and loves the outdoors, hiking and camping, visiting breweries, being with her children.
Fun Fact: has shaved her head twice to raise money for St. Baldrick's (research for kids with cancer).
Together we enjoy camping, walks, movies, family time, hang with friends, watch sports, try new restaurants.
If you could pick one word that describes you as a couple, what would it be and why?
Meredith:
Loyal: loyal to each other no matter what, in good times and bad, forever and always.
Renée:
Solid: We are in this relationship for the long haul. It won't always be easy and fun and there may be tears and anger and frustration. But our foundation is solid, our love is unwavering and our commitment to each other and our marriage is solid. Together we will withstand whatever is placed in our way. We as a couple are solid.
